Eracent is pleased to announce that it has been included as a high-scoring vendor in Gartner’s newly released Critical Capabilities for Software Asset Management Tools 2018 report.
This research report provides a comprehensive review of the major solution providers in the software asset management market, and each vendor was scored based on their ability to meet the requirements outlined in several use cases.
Eracent scored particularly well around intermediate and advanced SAM functionality, which included the ability to provide license position reports and optimization recommendations around complex server, virtual and cloud license models from major publishers such as IBM, Oracle® and SAP® among others. “The use cases for intermediate and advanced SAM functionality reflected the needs of organizations that are typical of Eracent customers – global companies that may have hundreds of thousands of endpoints with a broad and expensive software portfolio, and that are also now migrating applications and operations to cloud environments”, said Eracent President William Choppa. “Our demonstrations to the Gartner analysts of our IT Management Center™ and Continuous License Reconciliation™ functionality received strong scores in each of the detailed use cases, but we scored particularly well in advanced SAM functionality in relation to many competing solutions.”
“Eracent is proud of its large and loyal enterprise customer base and the service that we provide to them,” stated Choppa. “Our customers have rated us very highly in Gartner’s Peer Insights and other similar online industry surveys. It proves that our strategy of growing the company organically and collaborating closely with each customer to enhance our solutions to meet constantly changing market needs is a successful one. It’s about a quality customer experience over quantity.
