A couple of days before Thanksgiving, Penske Truck Leasing, a long-time Eracent customer, hosted a user group meeting at their offices in Reading, PA.

There was a great turnout – 22 companies participated as well as several members of the Eracent team. Some companies attended in person while others participated via WebEx. The meeting was held in a large conference room with a state-of-the-art audio visual set up to accommodate the session.

William Choppa, President of Eracent, kicked-off the session with a very informative review of all the new features of ITMC 10.2. This was followed by a presentation by Penske in which they described a case study where they uncovered significant cost savings through license harvesting. Next Bose Corporation presented a use case “Asset Management in the Age of Cloud Migrations” which was very timely with respect to current industry trends. An Eracent SAM services partner Siwel presented on how to mature your ITAM program, reviewing popular IT maturity models and how to move your organization up the curve.

In the afternoon, Comcast presented their Asset Receipt Process and Eracent reviewed their integration with other systems as well as currently available connectors. This was followed by a round table discussion in which attendees asked questions of Eracent and each other on best practices for handling particular tasks and processes using ITMC. The day concluded with William Choppa presenting the Eracent roadmap for 2018 and beyond.

The user group meeting provided a great opportunity for Eracent customers to interact and get to know each other, and to spend time with the Eracent team. It was a very productive day for all the participants, who are already talking about scheduling another user group meeting in Q1’18!

We will keep you posted on the next user group meeting and hope to see you there!
