Eracent, a leading provider of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions, was rated as an “Innovator” in the latest IT Asset Management Vendor Landscape report published by the Info-Tech Research Group.
According to the report, Innovators have demonstrated innovative product strengths that act as their competitive advantage in appealing to niche segments of the market.
The report noted that “Eracent’s IT Management Center offers a robust solution for larger enterprises, including highly functional features for license and lifecycle management, report generation, and complex license reconciliation.” The report identified several key strengths of Eracent’s ITMC Management Center solution:
- The “Asset discovery engine has (an) exceptional level of automated functionality enabling accurate discovery for both software and hardware, including virtualization and the cloud”.
- “IT-Pedia, a comprehensive SKU library encapsulating millions of IT products, was added enabling customers to build a strong product catalog and build relationships within assets.”
- “Integrated contract, lease, and warranty management are best in class with real-time calculations broken down by product type and recommendations on purchasing needs.”
Additionally, in the report’s Value Score index, which rates each vendor’s product offering and business strength relative to its price point – or “bang for the buck” – Eracent was ranked fourth out of 15 vendors evaluated.
“Eracent recognizes how critical it is to have a complete and accurate data baseline to effectively support IT asset management, license management and IT service management processes”, stated Eracent President William Choppa. “Our customers have been able to gain visibility into their license positions and automate many of their processes. As a result they’ve reported that they have realized significant cost savings and more efficient day-to-day operations.”
